35 days until puck drop and the news just keeps on getting better for hockey fans! Today, we, along with our team mate Mark Messier, shared news of the newly revamped Rogers™ NHL GameCentre LIVE™. A free subscription is available for Rogers wireless data and Hi-speed Internet customers until December 31, 2014, Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE™ turns your tablets, phones and computers into NHL season’s passes.
Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE™ lets you watch over 1,000 live regular season NHL games– that’s over 50 per cent more regular season and playoff games than last year. This means you can now catch the end of the Flames’ game from your tablet on your late night commute, or catch a Penguins’ shoot-out right from your smartphone.
We’ve lifted more blackouts than last year, meaning you can get more live streaming of in-market regional and national games, depending on your broadcast region and subscription. Plus, you can now get access to online streaming of French broadcasts, as well as the Stanley Cup® Final, the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic®, the NHL® All Star Game and more.
While Rogers wireless data and Hi – Speed Internet customers get a free subscription of Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE™ until December 31, 2014, non-Rogers customers can still access the game. Check out Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE™ subscription pricing here. This season, we’re also delivering Canadians double the number of games on TV and twice as many Hockey Night in Canada Saturday night games than ever before.
In October, the app will be available to download. Live streaming starts October 8. And we’ll have more news to share closer to puck drop. In the meantime, stay tuned to Redboard and to rogers.com/nhl for updates. We’re determined to make this the best season yet, bringing innovation that will change how and where you watch our nation’s game!
