absolutely not. never again with Rogers.

    1. RogersSarah

What makes you say that, Jatinder? Is there something we can do to help?

  2. Jatinder Dehali

Hi Rogers, what’s the price and release date of the device? If you dont know, why would I reserve something I dont know the price of and dont know when it’ll be available?

    1. RogersSarah

We’ll have more details to share about pricing and availability soon. Stay tuned!

Not that much of an upgrade from the S4!

I am interested only because I have a S3 and it’s almost two years old.

Rogers and Samsung’s pricing strategy will be interesting as there is a lot of very capable competitors to the S5.

Do customers with a business account qualify for the online reservation?

    1. RogersNicolas

Hi, reservations for the S5 are not available for bus. accounts at this time but we’d keep everyone posted of any changes.

If you absolutely must stay with Rogers for some reason, then try their sub-brand Fido instead. Save yourself some money. Rogers is one of the most expensive providers in Canada (and in the WORLD). Why would you do this to yourself?

    1. RogersElise

Hi Jolly, we provide premium services to customers, especially those that have most of their services with us, who can get their cable content on their wireless devices via Anyplace TV, Rogers One Number…

Any word on when the blue and gold will be available for reservation? Or will you be getting the 32 GB??

    1. RogersElise

At this time, only the black and white version, in 16 GB, are confirmed.

The worldwide release is set for some time in April. Now, as to whether Canada is considered part of the ‘world’ or not, who knows.

The carriers in this country tend to play around with release dates, so don’t be surprised if the actual on-sale is pushed back into May…production shortages, didn’t forecast demand accurately (again), more time needed for their marketing machines to inflate demand…you know the drill.

We’ll get this thing eventually but don’t be surprised if the wait is longer than advertised.

Oh yah, you can forget all of those pretty colours the rest of the world is getting. This is Canada- black and white only.

  8. Nav

I reserved mine, but why the limited options Rogers: white or black and only 16GB? I’d certainly be interested in the blue with 32GB.

  9. Colin

The S5 and the Sony Xperia Z2 was announced on the same day. Any news about the Sony Xperia Z2? Would really like to get that!

    1. RogersElise

Hi Colin, at this time, we haven’t announced anything regarding this device, so I can neither tell you we’ll get it or neither tell you we won’t.

  10. MIKE

I see that pre orders are only for the white and black 16 gig so I have a few questions

will the blue color be out on release date ?

when will 32 gig be available ?

    1. RogersElise

At this time, only the black and white 16 GB are confirmed, I don’t know whether we will carry another version or not at launch or later.

      1. MIKE

ok , that’s why I held off on pre order I must get the blue one might have to buy from elsewhere then thanks.. :(

  11. gabby131

The Reservation System only offers 16gb of in-built storage. Will a 32gb be available? I know my question might be way too early to be answered but any word will be appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    1. RogersNicolas

Hi gabby131, we don’t have any info to share at this time. Only the 16gb is available.

  12. Luke

Why do ppl want the more expensive 32gb, just get the new 128gb card, or 64gb for thirty bucks

  13. phil

between the USA and Canada there is a 25% price difference for the S5. why is that? the phone is literally identical.
