RedBoard celebrates one-year anniversary

RedBoard's 1 year anniversaryIt’s hard to believe it’s been a year, but next Wednesday marks the first anniversary of RedBoard.

In our introductory post on March 2, 2010 we told you that the name RedBoard is a metaphor for whiteboards used for collaboration and asked for your participation.

You took up this invitation with a passion that exceeded our wildest expectations.

You’ve shown us you care deeply about Rogers, our products and our policies. You haven’t been shy about sharing your feedback – good or bad.

Based on our research of engagement on other company blogs, we were expecting about five to ten comments per post. Instead, an average RedBoard post receives close to 100 comments. We’ve had more than one million site visits to RedBoard and more than 10,000 comments.

To thank you for making RedBoard a thriving community of two-way dialogue, we’d like to invite you to celebrate with us.

There are two options:

  • If you’re in the Toronto-area , we’d like to invite you to join us at a Tweetup we’re holding from 5:30 to 7 next Wednesday, March 2. There will be cake, snacks and loot bags so please register for the event using the button below:
  • Register for Event

  • If you’re outside of the city, leave a comment below letting us know why you’ve chosen to be part of the RedBoard community. We’ll send loot bags to the first people to leave a comment on this post. (And our legal department would like us to advise you that quantities are limited and loot bags will be allocated on a first come first served basis until inventory is depleted). Also, let us know if you’d like us to hold a Tweetup in your community.

Check back on this post next week for pictures from the event.

UPDATE (March 3, 2011, 12:12 p.m.): Thanks to everyone who attended our Tweetup last night. It was great to get together and celebrate the thriving community that RedBoard has become. We’re looking forward to the year ahead. To check out some pictures from last night’s event, go here.

    @BhuDeo

  7. Congratulations on the special occasion. I am really looking forward to the eventual LTE roll-out in YYC and the new Android devices.

  8. Oh, and why did I choose to be part of the RedBoard community? Because it’s the best way to access information on what’s new and upcoming at Rogers.

  10. Vancouver is where its happening! Come out here!

I would actually love to have a periodical event for those that like to be ahead of the curve in the mobile space and what Roges is planning to stay in the lead. Perhaps testing some coming devices or participating in feedback events.

I’m not poud to say that I currently own 3 Rogers devices that I use on a regular basis, my only consolation is that one of them is for work… lol

    • Hey Vitali – we’ll definitely consider Vancouver for a future Tweetup. One or two of us may also be out that way for Northern Voice. Will we see you there?

  11. Since I’m a Rogers customer I’m keen to learn about new products and services as well learning about features I could already use but might not have known about or understand.

  12. I enjoying reading this redboard and hearing directly from Rogers rather than rumors on other forums. Please keep up the latest news!

  13. Rogers Redboard is one of the best Public Relation tools period. The ability to get “insider-information” about upcoming phones and Rogers service is priceless. Other telecom and cable giants don’t care about their customers like Rogers, who’ve integrated social media in ways we can instantly gain access to Redboard information.

Frequenting the Redboard had given me an edge into finding a location to pick up my iPhone 4 during the dry weeks following the Canada launch.

The staff are really friendly and down-to-earth, although they are on the Rogers payroll they do understand and reconcile with visitors and do express concern for their problems.

Congratulations on your first-year, hopefully we’ll have more continued communication and a healthy relationship from here on out.

  14. Show Bradford some love!

  15. Congratulations on this first annual event, it would be nice if it could be in more places around the country other than Toronto only.

I love how Rogers has an online presence. This is going to be increasingly more important in the future.

  16. I choose to take part in the redboard community to help shape the future of Rogers policies and services.

Furthermore its nice to be able to associate a human face with Rogers group of companies.

It’s great to see such a massive company toll have a heart and to ask their customers for feedback on policies and services.

  17. I chose to be part of this community because I have been a Rogers customer for a few years and love the service. I also like helping other people with problems and am extremely excited for the future Xperia Arc launch.

  18. I’ve chosen to be part of the redboard community because it is a great place to get info on service and quality in my area. As well as new updates

  19. Being part of this community allows me to share my thoughts and find out what others are thinking. Makes me feel like I’m making a difference in a company that I have supported for a long time and hope to continue to support for years to come

Keep up the great work guys!!!

  20. I take part in the community because it is an awesome way to keep in touch with the business, and find out about up and coming products and services from Rogers.
