  1. I currently have a two phones on a family plan and my contract just expired. If I get two new smartphones on a 3 yr contract I should be treated the same as a new customer and be eligible for this offer. How much is my business worth to Rogers? I can go to any wireless provider right now, why would I choose to stay when I can’t get an offer like this?

    • RogersAnnemarie says: November 8th, 2011 a 11:45am

      Hi Todd,

As I don’t have access to your account, I suggest that you reach out to a Rogers rep to discuss the specifics of your account. You can reach them on Twitter at @RogersHelp, on Facebook.com/Rogers or on Rogers.com/contactus

      • I completely agree with Todd – I am a long time Rogers customer – with internet, tv and 4 wireless lines – two of which were recently added to my family plan – I should certainly qualify for a free Galaxy Tab. I have taken your suggestion and contacted Rogers via email. I agree they should show us long time customers they appreciate our business.

  2. I got 2 iphone 4S recently on Oct 18 & I have family plan. I have to pay $124.07 will I be eligible for this offer.

    • RogersAnnemarie says: November 8th, 2011 a 11:47am

      Hi Lakshmi,

Unfortunately, as you purchased your devices on the 18th of October, the tablet offer will not apply, as this offer began with purchases as of today. Keep an eye out for future offers though!

  3. Can you qualify for the free tablet if you already have TV + Internet or is this for new customers only? Also, I’m in London and want to subscribe to the new Digital Starter Package. Can I still qualify for the free tablet with that package?

    • RogersAnnemarie says: November 8th, 2011 a 5:11pm

You can get the Tablet on us if you are a new TV + Internet customer. So if you are an existing Rogers wireless customer who is adding TV + Internet for the first time, you will qualify.

As I mentioned to Todd above, I don’t have access to your account, so I suggest that you reach out to a Rogers rep to discuss the specifics of your account. You can reach them on Twitter at @RogersHelp, on Facebook.com/Rogers or on Rogers.com/contactus

      • I am planing to renew my contract in a week or so. I am only renewing one line+ data. I think I should be able to get the 149.994 deal but told me they can not offer that because it is only for new customers. I dont think that is fair. ….

  4. 2 new activations = free 1 new = 149.99 . do we also need to activate a data plan just for the tablet ? and can the tablet be ordered online or is instore a must ?

    • Hi MaseT,

First off, no, you do not need to activate a data plan for the tablet. As for your ordering online or in-store question:

      Wireless:

      1. Eligible customers who sign up for their new wireless services in-store AND activate the special promotional data plan for their tablet at the time of purchase will receive the tablet immediately in-store.
      2. Eligible customer who sign up for their new wireless services in-store but do not activate the data plan for their tablet can go online to http://www.rogerspromotions.com/tabletoffer/ and complete the online submission form within 30 days of activation and the tablet will be shipped to them
      3. Eligible customers who sign up for their new wireless services either online or by calling the Rogers call center can go online to http://www.rogerspromotions.com/tabletoffer/ and complete the online submission form within 30 days of activation and the tablet will be shipped to them.

      Cable:

      1. Eligible customers who sign up for the Digital TV and Internet offer can go online to http://www.rogerspromotions.com/tabletoffer/ and complete the online submission form within 30 days of activation and the tablet will be shipped to them.

      • So if one gets the tablet for free as part of the promotion, they will NOT have to activate it? One can just use it with Wi-Fi?

Employees at the stores seem to think otherwise, as I was told the opposite, that you must activate it for 1 year.

  5. I recently renewed my contract with Rogers, but I am wondering if that was a mistake? I really wish that these companies would give more to their existing customers, you know, the ones that are paying their hard earned money to them every month. It is stuff like this that really makes me rethink my decision.

  6. Since it’s probably mostly current Rogers customers who “Like” the facebook page, it’s pretty much a slap in the face to post this on there.

  7. It’s a great offer that ignores existing customers in favour of new customers. I’m thinking I have to start treating my services as a Nomad and jump ship when ever I finish my term so that I can get some respect from companies like Rogers.

  8. I agree totally. I am a long term Rogers customer with tv, Internet, home phone and 2 iPhones with data. How about letting us in on these offers!!

  9. Sorry kids- new people only.

Your next bill is in the mail, BTW

Thanks for your continued devotion to Big Red.

  10. Yeah i agree, what does rogers have to offer to long time customers, the only thing we get is a high bill

  11. Customers who activated within 15 days of the start of the promotion between October 24 and November 7, 2011 and meet eligibility criteria may be eligible for the promotion and should attempt to apply on-line to see if they qualify.

    • bill, do you work for rogers? where did you hear this about 15 days before start of promo. thanks! – Mike

    • Bill,
Any more information on where you heard this?

I activated two new lines with new iPhone 4s’ and submitted my request for a tablet. My request was denied: “NC0002 Invalid Submission – No new line activation(s) detected”

      • Hey FrankieDee,

Same thing happened to me. I have calls into Customer Care, and the instore rep told me they were looking into it (They also confirmed I should be getting the tablet), but nothing yet.

How did you get your situation resolved?

    • also…
I was kinda hoping that a “Rogers Redboard” member would also comment on the eligibility (if any) of activations prior to Nov. 8th.

      • Hey Frankie, in general, eligibility begins at the beginning of the promotion however it’s always best to speak to a rep as they’ll be able to pull up your account details and give you the details to your situation.

  12. It is ridiculous though, my contract is up, I can go to any wireless provider. Instead Rogers would prefer I cancel my service and sign-up again as a “new” customer to get this offer. Rogers should have made an upgrade offer for current customers, even just a discount on buying a tab would be better then nothing. They better hope their competitors don’t make a similar offer or I’m gone for sure.

    • What an absolute S C A M! Going to the store and inquiring about this, I am told that “the first 2 months are free, then you have to pay a plan of minimum $20 for the remainder of the 10 months”.

Free tablet, I don’t think so! Not only do you have to activate 2 new lines, but you also have to activate the tablet? Are you serious?

Rogers, way to find a way to rip us off again – why do I need to activate a tablet I will only use on WIFI.

UNBELIEVABLE – you know what you can do with your tablet!

      • I am in the process of signing up for this. I was told, in no uncertain terms, without even asking, that a data plan IS NOT required for the tablet.

        • How about it Rogers, is it mandatory to activate the tablet with a plan once we get it or can we just use it on WiFi?

      • You DO NOT have to sign up for a data plan to get the tablet promotion.

  13. Is this promo valid for Quebec residents? It seems that we always get excluded from promotions. Please advise, thank you!

    • Yes, this promo is valid in Quebec for Rogers Wireless customers.

      • So Chris do I need to activate a data plan for the promotional tablet, is it true that after two months you need to have data plan for the tablet?

  14. If I am an existing High Speed Internet and Digital TV subscriber, but not under contract, why can’t I just sign a pair of 2yr agreements and take advantage of this offer? It makes no sense to say that 2yr contracts are only valuable to Rogers if they are from new customers. An additional pain is that there is no point to cancelling and re-signing, because they will simply re-activate the old account and say you are still not a new customer. The only option is to cancel and sign with someone else for a better deal I guess.

    • Hey Scott,

Best to speak with a rep about this as we don’t have access to your account details and can’t comment for sure on your situation.

  15. I currently subscribe to Rogers Cable/Internet/Wireless. As an existing loyal customer for over 20 years am I eligible for the Fee Tablet offer ?

  16. alexander Mollison says: November 12th, 2011 a 1:21pm

Nothing for us pensioners who have all of above and high high speed? been paying for years.

  17. kathryn kiely says: November 12th, 2011 a 5:56pm

I purchased two iphones today with voice and data family plan and wanted to get the new tablet. They told me I could do this online but I don’t see where to sign up. Could you please help us.

    Thank you
    Kathryn

  18. I just transferred over to tv plan last month…and I am on a 1 year contract not 2…do I qualify if I switch to 2 years??

  19. I have just spent six hours dealing with rogers rep one of witch told me because i was adding my husban on to my plan with myself and my son i was going to get two new smart phones for free and get the tablet for 149.00 olny to find out at the store i was told a lie i have to pay for the phones… This is not right when new customers get better deals. I then call olny rogers and spent an hour more olny to be treated wrong and told may get my old plan back if they still have it this is not the way to keep your customers

    • Hey Marilyn,

I don’t have access to your account so can’t say for sure what your eligibility is. You can speak with an online rep to get specifics and clarity and hopefully get set up on a plan that works for you. You can reach them on Twitter (www.twitter.com/RogersHelps) Facebook (www.facebook.com/Rogers) or through any one of the methods through http://www.rogers.com/ContactUs

  20. Hi, I’m just wondering if this promotion is only valid for the smartphones listed on the website under the promotion details? People above are talking about activating iPhone 4S’s, but they’re not listed. If I buy two iPhone 4S’s, on a new family voice and data plan, will I qualify for this promotion or not?
    Thanks,
    Josh
