Game on! Leafs TV and NBA TV Canada now on Rogers on Demand Online
You’re a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and can’t watch the game because you are traveling on business. Or, there is a must-see basketball game on but your TV is being used for video games or the most-recent episode of The Bachelor. Sound familiar?
Good news: you can put those concerns behind you as we’re now bringing Leafs TV and NBA TV Canada to our popular Rogers On Demand Online (RODO) . You need to be a Digital Cable TV subscriber and have Leafs TV or NBA TV Canada in order to access these channels on RODO.
Leafs fans will now have access to some cool content including:
- Live streaming of 8 Leafs games (2 on Leafs TV and 6 courtesy of Sportsnet) for the remainder of the year plus On Demand access after the initial live broadcast
- Leafs TV produced features including ”Game in an Hour” made available to watch both live and On Demand
And for NBA enthusiasts, you can now watch:
- Live streaming of 30 NBA games for the remainder of the year plus On Demand access after the initial live broadcast
- On Demand NBA TV Canada shows and features like ”Raptors Post Up” and “NBA Game Time” (coming soon)
Leafs TV and NBA TV Canada are the latest additions to our ever growing RODO programming line-up. Stay tuned for more exciting news in 2011.
Are you a Leafs TV or NBA TV Canada customer? What shows do you watch?

If you watch these games online will it count towards you internet download cap?
Hi Daniel – Much like other video streaming sites, customers are responsible for any bandwidth usage beyond their monthly limit.
Bwahahahaha
Translation:
Yes, while we DO offer Rogers On Demand ONLINE, you will be FURTHER charged if you go over your “limit”.
AND if you’re on the UltraLite package with a 2Gb/month usage limit, you’ll be charged an additional $5 PER Gigabyte.
Considering that an HD movie is over 1.2Gb, expect Ultralite users to be paying THROUGH the nose in overage fees.
OH, and we just introduced Rogers SpeedBoost – which, essentially means we’re REMOVING our ITMP throttling, provided you sign up with our more expensive Extreme or Elite plans.
Whee! Now you’ll be able to reach your usage limit FASTER!
A person with the ultralite plan would not be downloading HD movies. That’s kinda the point of being on the ultralite plan, you use an ultra-lite amount of internet. It would take over 6 hours just to download an HD movie on the ultralite plan. If you want to download copious amounts of bandwidth you need to pay for it by signing up for one of the other plans.
So in other words we’ll be charged for watching games on our computer instead of the TV if our TV is otherwise occupied (such as for video games as mentioned in the article).
Addition to above: Great way for you guys to make some extra cash to buy some more arena/stadium/anything naming rights!
Good question above.
Great news! Any word if this year’s NCAA Basketball tournament will be available on ROD
