The Briefcase: A Handset Protection Guarantee adventure on YouTube
Remember those choose-your-own adventure stories you used to read as a kid? Now you can relive those childhood memories with a new choose-your-own adventure that we launched recently on YouTube called “The Briefcase.”
The interactive adventure – tied to Rogers Handset Protection Guarantee Program – lets you control key decisions of Needlebaum, the hapless character from the Rogers TV commercials. The mission? Help him deliver a briefcase to his boss.
The Handset Protection Guarantee is subject to terms and conditions. To read the full program terms, go to http://www.rogers.com/protection.
Were you able to successfully get the briefcase back to Needlebaum’s boss?

Thats a pretty cool concept. Good work.
haha…that was fun actually. I had my phone go into the mop bucket, broken by the magic trick, then lost in a cab. Great adventure. :)
Pretty good.. I loved those books as a kid!
Any chance that such an offering might find its way to Fido as well?
Hey Anthony,
Fido does not have the same Handset Protection Guarantee as Rogers, however you may want to check out Fido’s loaner phone service for lost, stolen or broken mobile devices:
Details here:

Hi, I just got a refurbished blackberry through this program, but cracked the screen 4 days later. What happens now? Is this out of warranty or is this now In warranty? I know it’s physical damage that’s my fault, but will rogers help me fix the screen?
Hi Nick,
The Handset Protection Guarantee provides you with a subsidized repair or replacement device on your first out of warranty transaction. You can use the program as many times as needed but subsequent occurrences receive no subsidy.
So basically, we’ll help you fix the broken screen but you will need to pay full price for the repair.
I am a smartphone user, and i’m dissapointed that there isn’t any smartphones available for free through this program.
